Land of Harmony Team

Land of Harmony was founded in 1995 as a community centre to support the inclusion of people with disability in the region of Žilina in Slovakia. The centre delivers sessions in music, cooking, theatre, discussions, group activities to develop users’ communication and presentation skills, and trips to the mountains and the sea. About 30 volunteers run those activities every year. The main mission is to create opportunities for shared activities for people with and without disability, and to support all in the community.

Land of Harmony organizes youth exchanges via the European Voluntary Service. It also organises a festival of community awareness Inter Nos, and The Light Celebration, where awards are given to individuals with disability, volunteers, and donors for their support of inclusion.
